La dislexia evolutiva es un trastorno específico del aprendizaje que se evidencia en la incapacidad para leer adecuadamente, asociándose muchas veces con  otros déficits que se ordenan dentro de los trastornos del desarrollo o la llamada disfunción cerebral mínima, manifestándose todos ellos con independencia del funcionamiento intelectual global del sujeto.

El presente trabajo se centra en el trastorno lector analizando su  posible etiología de acuerdo a las investigaciones actuales.

Se presenta la hipótesis del déficit fonológico y el modelo de la ruta dual  considerando los distintos procesos que intervienen.

The developmental dyslexia is a specific disorder evidenced in the incapacity to read properly, mostly associated to other deficit of development disorders or the so called minimal brain disfunction, manifested all of them with independence of the global intelectual workings of the subject.

The present paper is centred in the reading disorder analyzing its possible etiology according to nowadays research. The hypothesis of the phonological deficit and the dual route model considering the different processes ivolved.
