La ciudad ausente de Ricardo Piglia, Luis Scafati y Pablo De Santis (2000 y 2008) se construye como una réplica inexacta de la novela de la que fue transpuesta (Piglia, 1992), un espacio mnemico que se opone a los mitos construidos por el estado en función del control social y la detentación del poder, una matriz generadora de historias resistente al olvido.

En tensión entre la historieta y la novela gráfica, y en la tradición de la literatura dibujada, La ciudad ausente (2000) se ofrece como objeto de indagación de una particular configuración discursiva en la que se integran y luchan las imágenes, la escritura, la diagramación. El artículo explora los modos de desplegar y modalizar la espacialidad, de extremar la condición propia de la palabra escrita en tanto objeto gráfico, de mirar una cultura determinada a través de una poética de la mirada desde la que construye el lugar de su destinatario.

In the tension between the comic strip and the graphic novel, and in the tradition of the sketched literature, La ciudad ausente (2000) is rendered for inquiry of a particular discursive configuration in which the images, the writing and the layout integrate and struggle at the same time. The article explores the ways of shaping space, maximizing the condition proper to the written word in so much graphic object, of looking at a certain culture through a poetics of the standpoint from where the addressee´s place is built.
