<P style="TEXT-ALIGN: justify; LINE-HEIGHT: 150%; MARGIN: 0cm 0cm 10pt" class=MsoNormal><SPAN style="LINE-HEIGHT: 150%; FONT-FAMILY: 'Times New Roman'; FONT-SIZE: 12pt" lang=ES-AR><FONT size=2>Los investigadores, estudiantes, docentes y participantes de la mesa “Etnogenésis, sometimiento e incorporación estatal/nacional de pueblos originarios”, como resultado de la exposición y discusión de los diferentes trabajos de investigación de las sesiones de los días 29 y 30 de octubre en el marco de las XII Jornadas Interescuelas/Departamentos de Historia organizadas por Universidad Nacional del Comahue en la ciudad de San Carlos de Bariloche, denunciamos y manifestamos nuestro repudio a la continuidad ideológica expresada a lo largo del proceso de sometimiento e incorporación estatal de los pueblos originarios. <o:p></o:p></FONT></SPAN>
<P style="TEXT-ALIGN: justify; LINE-HEIGHT: 150%; MARGIN: 0cm 0cm 10pt" class=MsoNormal><SPAN style="LINE-HEIGHT: 150%; FONT-FAMILY: 'Times New Roman'; FONT-SIZE: 12pt" lang=ES-AR><FONT size=2>En sucesivos contextos esta ideología se ha manifestado a través de distintos mecanismos que han procurado generar en la opinión pública una imagen negativa con respecto a los pueblos originarios, identificándolos como una amenaza a los intereses de la sociedad, al ser calificados como grupos irracionales, altamente peligrosos, violentos y atribuyéndoseles un origen extranjero. Esta descripción de los pueblos originarios como una amenaza a la sociedad en su conjunto ha recurrido una y otra vez a viejos argumentos pseudocientíficos. Estos últimos poseen su origen en el discurso e ideología política de los sectores de poder que han llevado a cabo las sucesivas expropiaciones a los pueblos originarios a lo largo del proceso histórico referido, desde las campañas militares de conquista de fines del siglo XIX.<o:p></o:p></FONT></SPAN>
<P style="TEXT-ALIGN: justify; LINE-HEIGHT: 150%; MARGIN: 0cm 0cm 10pt" class=MsoNormal><SPAN style="LINE-HEIGHT: 150%; FONT-FAMILY: 'Times New Roman'; FONT-SIZE: 12pt" lang=ES-AR><FONT size=2>En el presente observamos y denunciamos una nueva oleada de expresiones mediáticas que califican a los pueblos originarios como sectores peligrosos y como amenaza extranjera. La misma no puede entenderse sino en relación con intereses de sectores concretos en un contexto de redefinición y profundización de los procesos de expropiación. Estos intereses hoy responden a la expansión del frente sojero y de las empresas extractivas (petroleras y minería a cielo abierto), forestales y turísticas. Al mismo tiempo dichas expresiones intentan legitimar “como en el pasado- los procedimientos de represión y violencia sobre las comunidades y familias originarias y la judicialización/criminalización de sus demandas. <o:p></o:p></FONT></SPAN>
