También ha dictado cursos, seminarios y conferencias en instituciones de altos estudios del país y del extranjero: Universidad de San Pablo (Brasil), Universidad de Bogotá (Colombia), Alianza Francesa (Montevideo), Universidad de Roma “<st1:PersonName w:st="on" ProductID="La Sapienza">La Sapienza</st1:PersonName>†y Universidad de Roma III (Italia), Universidad de Pekín (China), entre otras. Como invitado a congresos, convenciones y jornadas de su especialidad ha viajado a países latinoamericanos, europeos, asiáticos y a los Estados Unidos (Universidad de Chile, sedes de Santiago y de Valparaíso; Instituto superior de Arte y Teatro de Shanghai; Universidad de Maryland, USA; entre otras).</SPAN><I><SPAN lang=ES-TRAD style="FONT-SIZE: 12pt; FONT-FAMILY: 'Times New Roman'; mso-fareast-font-family: 'Times New Roman'; mso-ansi-language: ES; mso-fareast-language: ES; mso-bidi-language: AR-SA"> </SPAN></I><SPAN lang=ES-TRAD style="FONT-SIZE: 12pt; FONT-FAMILY: Arial; mso-fareast-font-family: 'Times New Roman'; mso-ansi-language: ES-TRAD; mso-fareast-language: ES; mso-bidi-language: AR-SA">Ha evaluado proyectos de investigación y tesis de grado para equipos o docentes de diversas universidades del país, o fundaciones e instituciones. También ha dirigido varios trabajos de becarios del CONICET y una investigación especial para la citada institución sobre la actividad editorial argentina (1988-89, en colaboración con Jorge Rivera). Investigador (Categoría B) por <st1:PersonName w:st="on" ProductID="la UNLZ">la UNLZ</st1:PersonName>, integró la dirección de un proyecto de investigación suscripto por los rectorados de <st1:PersonName w:st="on" ProductID="la UBA">la UBA</st1:PersonName> y <st1:PersonName w:st="on" ProductID="la Universidad">la Universidad</st1:PersonName> de Roma III (1995-1996). Iniciado en la actividad periodística como redactor auxiliar en la revista de historia de la cultura <I>Imago Mundi</I> -cuyo director fue José Luis Romero-, posteriormente llegaría a ser jefe de redacción de <st1:PersonName w:st="on" ProductID="la Revista">la <I>Revista</I></st1:PersonName><I> de <st1:PersonName w:st="on" ProductID="la Universidad">la Universidad</st1:PersonName> de Buenos Aires</I>, y a ocupar la jefatura de <st1:PersonName w:st="on" ProductID="la Secretar￭a">la Secretaría</st1:PersonName> de Prensa de esa casa de estudios. Ha ejercido el periodismo como redactor, columnista o colaborador en <st1:PersonName w:st="on" ProductID="La Opini?n"><I>La Opinión</I></st1:PersonName>, <I>Clarín</I>, <I>Panorama</I>, <I>Siete Días</I>, <I>Redacción</I>, <I>El Observador</I>, de Buenos Aires, y <I>Marcha</I>, <I>Jaque</I>, <I>El Día</I>, <I>El País</I>, <I>Brecha</I>, <I>Graffiti</I>, de Montevideo. Ha publicado los libros <I style="mso-bidi-font-style: normal">El escritor en el bosque de ladrillos. Una biografía de Roberto Arlt</I> (2000) y <I style="mso-bidi-font-style: normal">Regueros de tinta. El diario Crítica en la década de 1920</I> (1998), merecedor del Primer Premio al mejor libro argentino de historia de <st1:PersonName w:st="on" ProductID="la Fundaci?n El">la Fundación El</st1:PersonName> Libro. Ha realizado varias compilaciones de textos inéditos de Roberto Arlt: <I style="mso-bidi-font-style: normal">Aguafuertes porteñas: Buenos Aires, vida cotidiana</I>; <I style="mso-bidi-font-style: normal">Aguafuertes porteñas: cultura y política</I>; <I style="mso-bidi-font-style: normal">En el país del viento (Viaje a <st1:PersonName w:st="on" ProductID="la Patagonia">la Patagonia</st1:PersonName>, 1934)</I>; <I style="mso-bidi-font-style: normal">Aguafuertes Gallegas y Asturianas</I>. Es autora, asimismo, el estudio preliminar de <I style="mso-bidi-font-style: normal">Crítica. Revista Multicolor de los Sábados</I> (1999), y, en colaboración con Luis Alberto Romero, realizó la compilación <I style="mso-bidi-font-style: normal">Grandes entrevistas de la historia argentina</I> (1998). Actualmente dicta el seminario “Buenos Aires de papel: representaciones urbanas en la literatura argentina del siglo veinte (1900-1950)†en <st1:PersonName w:st="on" ProductID="la Maestr￭a">la Maestría</st1:PersonName> en Literaturas Española y Latinoamericana (Facultad de Filosofía y Letras, UBA). Colabora en el suplemento cultural del diario <st1:PersonName w:st="on" ProductID="La Naci?n."><I style="mso-bidi-font-style: normal">La Nación</I>.</st1:PersonName></SPAN></P>
