Con el claro objetivo de debatir acerca del campo intelectual y la comunicación, el presente trabajo transita dos recorridos articulados. En primer lugar, se reflexiona sobre las diversas tipificaciones acerca de los intelectuales, sus ámbitos de acción, sus recorridos ambivalentes y sus funciones generales. Se intenta debatir sobre el rol de la figura del intelectual en la época postmoderna y representar sus cambios, disputas, enfrentamientos y ambivalencias; sus desencantos y desconciertos, para finalmente buscar en los intersticios un equilibrio entre los juegos de tensiones.

 

En segundo lugar, se exponen algunas facetas de la relación problemática entre algunos intelectuales y los medios de comunicación, en el escenario de la cultura mediática mosaico. Finalmente se pretende debatir acerca del rol del comunicador intelectual, pensado como mediador y productor de discursos que permitan comenzar a recuperar el sentido general de los procesos sociales a partir de la búsqueda de interrelaciones contextuales. Se piensa en el rol del comunicador intelectual como potenciador de la interacción con el ciudadano en su calidad de interlocutor a fin de contribuir a la construcción de sentido y la compresión de la compleja realidad social.

With the clear objective to discuss about the intellectual field and communication, this paper passes two articulated courses. First of all, we examine the various characterizations about the intellectuals, their scopes of action, ambivalent routes and their general functions. It tries to discuss the role of intellectual figure in the postmodern era and represent their changes, disputes, conflicts and ambivalence, their disappointments and embarrassments, to finally find a balance in the interstices between sets of tensions.

 

Secondly, some facets of the problematic relation between some intellectuals and mass media are exposed, in the scene of the mosaic mediatic culture. Finally it’s tried to debate about the roll of the intellectual communicator, thought like mediator and producer of speeches that allow to begin recover the general sense of the social processes from the search of contextual interrelations. We think about the roll of the intellectual communicator as propellant of the interaction with the citizen in his quality of interlocutor, in order to contribute to the construction of sense and the compression of the complex social reality.
